Sail Past

I just can’t believe how quickly the time is sailing past.

Once again, Kat & I watched the local fishermen deck their boats with lights and parade up and down the harbour.

But this year, we got to watch the sail past from the comfort of our very own apartment.  We turned off the lights and watched the boats float past, the deck hands waving emergency flares and calling “Merry Christmas!” to all who watched.

This year, we recognized a couple of the boats.  We see them a few times a week through our living room windows.  This year we’re not watching the community, we’re a part of it.

It’s good to be home.
